The Lakes Distillery and Master of Malt have come together to reveal the Whiskymaker’s Editions: Miramar.
The Whiskymaker’s Editions are a series of one-off single malt releases that showcase the creative side of head whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi.
Each bottling demonstrates a diversion from the Lakes’ usual sherry-led house style. With only 600 individually numbered bottles available exclusively from Master of Malt, Miramar is a lively, fruity single malt made up of whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks and port pipes.
The Lakes’ whiskymaker, Dhavall Gandhi, said: “Miramar is versatile and expansive, bursting with stone fruit character contrasted with comforting vanilla and hints of gentle spice. Layers of intricately woven flavours bring about a perfumed elegance with accentuated notes of Santa Rosa plums, Morello cherries, honeyed fruits and toasted malts.”
Whiskymaker’s Editions: Miramar is non-chill-filtered and bottled without colouring at a strength of 54% abv. It is available exclusively from Master of Malt for £80.
